Course description

Students acquire essential administration skills for sport, recreation, and leisure settings specifically dealing with budgeting, staffing, membership services and program delivery strategies. Special attention is paid to group facilitation, management, and the application of the principles and practices of volunteerism. Students use current software programs as used by administrators in their daily routines.

Students registering for credit courses for the first time must declare a program at the point of registration. Declaring a program does not necessarily mean students must complete a program, individual courses may be taken for skill improvement and upgrading.
