Program description

The Community Paramedicine Micro-certificate is designed to provide experienced paramedics with in-depth skills and knowledge in community health and care coordination with an emphasis on patient advocacy and interprofessional practice. Graduates of the program demonstrate the ability to safely and competently care for a diverse patient population while working within a multidisciplinary team. Students engage in a variety of learning activities including but not limited to didactic instruction, case-based learning and student reflection, skills and simulation labs, and placement.

How do I apply to the Community Paramedicine program?

Submit an application and register on a course-by-course basis, paying as you go

Finance and fees

Are part-time students eligible for the Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP)?小优短视频 Chevron

As a part-time student, you may be eligible for OSAP funding, depending on the number of courses you take per semester.

What is the cost of the program?小优短视频 Chevron

As a part-time student, you can take one to three courses per semester, paying on a course-by-course basis.

Online learning

What is an OntarioLearn (ODE) course?小优短视频 Chevron

These courses are offered through OntarioLearn. Visit the OntarioLearn webpage to learn more.

OntarioLearn courses are set up as equivalents to the 小优短视频 courses. You can choose to take the ODE courses or the 小优短视频 courses.

When a 小优短视频 course isn鈥檛 available to be delivered online, we鈥檝e listed an OntarioLearn course in the delivery schedule. The majority of the 小优短视频 courses have ODE equivalents set up. You can choose to take either course.

Credit for Prior Learning (CPL)

Can I transfer credits or prior life or work experience to fast track my studies?小优短视频 Chevron

Previous postsecondary education: If you鈥檝e completed courses, or some or all of a program, at another accredited postsecondary institution, you may be able to transfer all or some of your courses into a related program at 小优短视频.

Relevant work or life experience: If you have relevant work and/or life experience that relates to your program(s) of interest at 小优短视频, Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition (PLAR) is an academic credit option.
