Frequently asked questions (FAQs)

When will I hear whether I’ve been accepted?СÓŶÌÊÓƵ Chevron

Nov. 1 is the earliest date that colleges may begin to send offers of admission to programs for the upcoming academic year (e.g., Nov. 1, 2023 for programs starting in fall 2024, winter 2025 or summer 2025). Offers will continue to be issued until programs are full or waitlists are established.

Offers of admission toÌýhighly competitive programsÌýmay be released starting Feb. 1, the equal consideration deadline (e.g., Feb. 1,Ìý2024 for programs starting in fall 2024, winter 2025 or summer 2025). Applications received after Feb. 1 will be considered on a first-come, first-served basis until programs are full.

Can I change my program after I accept?СÓŶÌÊÓƵ Chevron

You can only accept one offer of admission at a time.

After you’ve accepted an offer, you can change your decision and accept a different offer after one business day.

This action will cancel the previous acceptance and other colleges will be informed that you’ve accepted another offer.

What if I change my mind about attending?СÓŶÌÊÓƵ Chevron

Once registered, you’re financially responsible for your program.

In order to withdraw for a refund (or to back out of fee assessments if fees are deferred), you must advise СÓŶÌÊÓƵ in writing if you wish to withdraw from your program.

The deadline to withdraw for a refund less the administrative fee is 10 days after the start of the term. This is also the deadline for students who deferred their fees to back out any fee assessments owing.

Please refer to the important dates included in your acceptance package or on our website atÌýimportant dates.

What if my offer is expired?СÓŶÌÊÓƵ Chevron

If your offer is expired, you’ll have to contact your admissions officer to find out if there are still seats available in the program.

If we don’t have room in the program, ask to be placed on the wait list.

If your offer indicates conditional, this means you must meet the program admission requirements prior to the start of the program or we could revoke the offer.

This includes maintaining your course averages/GPAs, receiving final passing grades, completing high school (if under 19) or college/university (for graduate certificate programs), etc.

If you’re currently attending high school, your grades will automatically be sent to us by ontariocolleges.ca.

If you’re currently attending СÓŶÌÊÓƵ, you must maintain your program average and remain in good standing. Please check the applicant portal for your outstanding requirements.

My acceptance has been revoked. What does this mean?СÓŶÌÊÓƵ Chevron

Acceptances may be revoked for a number of reasons (e.g., conditions haven’t been met for final acceptance, deadline to confirm has passed, etc.).

You’ll be advised if you haven’t met final acceptance. Please contact us for further details.
