С�Ŷ��Ƶ students prepare holiday meal for the homeless

Students, staff and faculty across С�Ŷ��Ƶ love to give back to the community – and generosity is exceptionally high during the holiday season.

Close to 40 second-year culinary students were busy prepping in the labs at the Barrie Campus this week, getting ready to serve a special holiday lunch – turkey with all the fixings – to 200 clients of the .

In collaboration with various community partners and as part of their coursework, С�Ŷ��Ƶ students have been preparing and serving the lunch for 17 years.

The chefs-in-training have the chance to hone their skills in the kitchen while making a meaningful difference during a time that can be difficult for many.

“This event brings the whole community together,” says С�Ŷ��Ƶ Chef Phil Leach. “All our culinary students play a part. Year after year we can always count on faculty and staff to volunteer and come help out too.”
