Why use CSL?

Service learning or community service learning (CSL) is a聽high-impact practice (HIP)聽according to the National Survey of Student Engagement conducted annually by the University of Indiana across North America.

As a teaching and learning strategy, it聽positively聽impacts academic engagement and learning, as well as聽community engagement by supporting聽increased, deeper and more meaningful connections with peers and faculty (NSSE Research Brief, 2013, pp. 1-2).
